It will be dress-casual. We want people to be comfortable, but feel free to get fancier if you'd like. The location is going to be at a campsite with uneven ground, so be prepared to either change shoes or wear comfortable shoes (remember there will be dancing as well). Tyler and I will be fancy AF for the ceremony, but we are prepared to change throughout the night if we need to for comfort. Ultimately, wear whatever you think is best and we know you’ll look lovely:)
We have chosen to not create a registry. We are already well established and feel we don’t have need of gifts. Getting to celebrate with you is gift enough!
If you insist on giving us something, we’d prefer contributions to our honeymoon fund, but we really don’t want anyone to feel obligated to do that either. We've created a honeyfund account (HERE) for the convenience, but seriously please don't feel obligated to use it!
That’s up to you. The ceremony will happen at 4:30 pm on Saturday May 20th so arrive at least by 4 to avoid rushing (or interrupting). If you are planning to arrive the day of the wedding, and are planning to camp/RV, let us know in advance so we can get you info on where to park so you are not blocking others.
Tyler and I will be planning on heading up to the campsite Thursday (5/18) morning but will spend most of that day prepping the space. Depending on how much work there is to do, we may be busy all Thurs/Friday prepping so we may not be available to hang out except during breaks. If you do come up early please do not feel obligated to help us setup. We want people to enjoy their time. If you insist on helping anyway, we'll find you something to do.
We will have 2 porta-potties at the site for anyone that needs them.
Cell coverage in the forest is spotty. We found one area at the site that has 1 bar of LTE on Verizon's network. This is not a strong signal so texts and emails may come through. Because of this, most of us should probably keep our phones on airplane mode to avoid roaming killing our batteries.
I recommend downloading offline maps to ensure you can find your way around. This allows your phone to use gps while you have no cell coverage. (Guide HERE).
Below are the nearest options, in order of distance from the campsite. I would recommend that you stop on your way through other larger towns to get the food for your stay. Payson is the nearest town with a full-sized grocery.
UPDATE 5/7/23: 14 day forecast is showing that there might be patchy rain the days we are there so we should all come prepared with a rain jacket and shoes you don't mind getting a little bit muddy. Hopefully these are just the normal random showers that pass over without much of a disruption.
We plan to have a tents and heaters to keep the party going in the event of rain but please plan to bring things to keep yourself comfortable.

Nature is unpredictable, but we chose a date with historically good weather and low instance of fire hazard.
Historic weather shows a low of 55 and a high of 73 on May 20th. There are random showers on the rim that we will be prepared for. They tend to pass pretty quickly unless there is a storm brewing. We will plan to have tents and heaters to help with any bad weather that might creep up.
We still recommend bringing warm clothes and a jacket that you can wear if it does turn less pleasant.
As you all know, our campsite will not have any amenities.
Woods Canyon Dump Station is located (Here)
Nothing for the wedding ceremony and reception. If you're camping, bring what you’ll need for food/drink for the rest of your stay. The General store is close by, but has limited items. If you are driving, you can bring camp games you might enjoy and kayaks/paddle boards for the lake if you have them. There are also kayak rentals available at the lake. We aren’t going to plan any outings but I encourage all of you to get together and find out what’s fun and make plans. We will join wherever we can, but we may not be able to stray far from the campsite.
